To celebrate the upcoming publication of the second edition to my Cocos2d-x book I decided to post a little tutorial on how I made the art for the last game in the book.
Let’s give something for the enemies to do. I’m still going to have only one instance of the game tile on the game, and I’ll add scrolling later. But for the bombs we use a generic class which contains two sprites. The bomb in Chopper Command may split into two, that’s why I need to sprite.
One more GDC and man, what a difference. Unreal Engine, free. Corona SDK, free. Unity… nah, not so much, but the feature list for the free version got bigger (but mum on the whole updated mono develop…).
