Cocos2d-x: the Book
now on sale
Yep, I wrote a book. It’s called Cocos2d-x by Example Beginner’s Guide, and as the name implies, it covers the development of games with the C++ based framework Cocos2d-x. You’ve probably seen a few tutorials on this blog related to Cocos2d-x and C++, but now, there’s a whole book of them!
From the Vault: Tiny Super Mighty
a flash 4 game
This was my first Flash game, I think. It was done in Flash 4 and it is based on the classical Choplifter game engine, which incidentally is the engine I’m showing how to build in 3D in the current series of coding tutorials.
Dude, so what’s up with new tutorials?!
silence can be grating
Yeah, I know. There have not been many updates lately (none, precisely), but I’ve been working on my first interactive book for the iPad/Android and that has been taking a lot of my time. I have however some leftover tutorials waiting for the right time to be posted.
From the Vault: Phallic Design
from long ago
Going through my old files I found this animation I did way back when, with either version 4 or 5 of Flash. And of course it has a history behind it…
The Slip-up: An Illustration
or How Hard it is to Keep a Secret
Tought I’d take some time off from coding and worked on an illustration. Then I thought of this silly joke, I guess from reading too many Dan Piraro comic panels (is there such thing as reading too many Bizarro jokes?!) and I thought, what the heck.
